Since her debut in 2012 with Kelmti Horra, Emel Mathlouthi has offered intense, revolutionary music. With her fourth album MRA — meaning "woman" in Arabic — she deconstructs to rebuild, keeping music alive. Powerful, feminist, and uncompromising, MRA blends feverish hip-hop, pop and electronica with rallying lyrics of resilience and unity. Arab, French, and American, Emel sings across languages and borders, alongside collaborators Camélia Jordana, Nayomi, and Alyona.
